5. WooCommerce Bulk Table Editor

Video Summary

Alright guys so in this lesson I’m gonna show you the bulk table editor. And this is an add on that makes it really easy to change.

Change products prices, add tags, add categories, adjust stocks, and you can do it with really like all of your products or you can filter down by categories or tags. And then you can just be able to easily manipulate stuff a lot easier than the previous example what I showed you on the Products page. Alright, so I’m on the WooCommerce woocommerce.com. We want to charge you $89 for this plugin, but with WordPress it we can download it and use it for free.

What I want us to do is let’s go to let’s just start up with products. And if you remember, like this is how we were able to do both edits that let’s just say if we cancel this and we just clicked on all these different products here. We could just put our look at it here and then click Apply. And now we can change comments, comments, status, price and stuff, you know all that other stuff right there. But with the full table editor, we get a lot more leeway and it’s a lot easier to set this up but I’m gonna show you how so what you’re going to do is I’ve already downloaded and activate this plugin. So if we come over here, once you download, activate it you can just click on book table editor, and you will land on this page. So from here you can search, search and tax rows or SKU is up here. And you can also filter by different categories. You can filter by sales at the time so they’re not on sale, you can also filter by categories as well.

Now, you can also bounce between this is the home editor so basically you get you get to look at stock price, sales price, sale and then stock sales percentage and the stock value. So say for instance, we said that there was 97 T bone steaks at $20.75. So there’s $2,012.75 value in the stock. Right now you can come up here and click on other values. And they’ll show you the SKU as if it was featured or not back orders and stock is ability, weight height. All that right up there. I’m just gonna go back to the URL editor for now. And what I want to show you is is that will happen from time to time is say you have a product that is associated or attached to a certain vendor and due to rising costs, they’ve added an extra 10% to all of the prices for all their products. And you want to you want to go and account for that. But you don’t want to go in and actually set up.

Say if you had 100 or 1000 products you want to go into every product and add a 1.1 or 10% increase to the product price, right. So what you can do is you can use this table editor and you’ll be able to set it up really just on the fly. And I’m gonna show you how so say if we want to say the price here, you can just put in the say let’s put in 10. And what we can do is you come here and select and you can do increase by percent you can do increase by a fixed amount. Same thing with decrease. You can set a fixed value amount. You can route upwards, round downwards, round it to decimals, you can clear it or you can even get the previous price. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to do increase by 10%. And now all of the values have just been increased by 10%. We gotta make sure that what you have is highlighted. So let’s just see if I refresh this and it just says we don’t say that. We’re back to normal. Say if I have everything selected except the funny child, and I put in 10 and I do increased by everything else gets increased by 10% Except for Buddy child. Same thing. With sales, price stock, anything that you need. Right now, there’s not too much in the settings I’ll put like if you click here on the gearbox or the little gear icon, that’ll take you to the bulk editor, and it’ll just say how much how many products you want per page, or you can say 100 and say five if you wanted to you could you can say what do you want the default category to be you can you can say quarry products by statuses. So published private draft pending. You can also order by the name then you order date or when it was last modified. You can also do it in ascending or descending order. And it gives you a couple of options of disabling descriptions to enable an auto focus.

Automatic stock management turns off stock manager when stock has no or zero values. So there’s not really too much addition to this and if we click on integration and lead site integration like this is where you could say custom price and slug custom price name. Nothing you know show an extra column or two. You can set up or enable vendors if you wanted to. But that’s just basically how you set everything up with the bulk editor. This is just a quick, quicker and more efficient way to just set up pricing or pricing edits for product edits on a larger user scout. So that being said, this is pretty self explanatory, but I just want to show you a quick and easy way if you ran into a spot where you want to edit multiple products at once and you didn’t want to do a one by one. This pull table editor is a great option for it. Alright, so I’m gonna end this video here and then move on to the next plugin.
