Video Summary

Alright guys, so we’re gonna set up a simple product right now I know in the last video we learned about the how you can edit on the product page. But I think it’d be advantageous for us just to set up a simple product starting from a brand new scratch Okay, so I want to invito and I found for steak photos that I had just downloaded and resize I just made the with 1920 for pretty much all of them. 

So we’re going to do now is we will open this up into a new tab and we are not seeing this but if you remember in the product display video that we have these Brockley settings, so let’s just click on Default, and make sure Okay, we got that header, because you like if you look at the header, look at the header here and we look at it at mix barriers. It’s got it’s very transparent and it’s got that dark so I’m assuming that this is the same one, but we’re missing or we’re really missing is this. This kind of Banner that’s got the title of the page and it’s got these little breadcrumbs with some breadcrumbs is just the home and the next berries. So if we come back here, let’s click on banner source and let’s click default. And let’s just click on I think we’ll just leave that as is if you wanted to we could change that picture up but that’s more for styling we’re here just to learn about WooCommerce. 

And boom. Alright, so now our product page looks like the other one. And now we can set this up how we want to. Now for themes like this, just kind of a heads up, it’s a little bit of a side note, but I really like using things that give you this flexibility on a per page or per product basis. Because if someone say is looking at steaks, I might want to have a shop steaks, decide banner, you know, like I could have a promotion here, buy one, get one free, you know, start, you know, top, you know, maybe top rated year you know you’re able to upsell and cross sell or promote people to maybe spend more so I’m having that flexibility instead. of just being forced to say every product page has one sidebar. you might you know, you’d be able to mix that up a little bit which is pretty cool. But anyways, so we just set up our first we set up our first We call our first simple product. Now I’m gonna stop this video here and what we’re going to do next is we’re going to go in and we’re going to set up a, we’re gonna set up a variable product first. This is just set up a little bit kind of backwards but variable proc is the next logical step. So see you guys in next lesson.
