27. WooCommerce Settings – Advanced

Video Summary

Alright guys, so we’re at the last tab of the default settings for WooCommerce. And when you click on Advanced, there is other tabs right here, but what starts with Page Setup. And one of the most important things that you’re going to need to do is that when you get your terms and conditions and you set that page, just title that page has terms and conditions and you can just come in here and put in terms and conditions and if that page is there, you will just set it as such. But for now, you could just stay at home and you could click on one page and if you saved it, that would be your terms and conditions page. All right, I’m gonna leave this blank for now, for secure checkout.

This is basically just making you forcing you which is kind of funny forcing you to have an SSL agreement or SSL certificate, saying that you have a security protocols so that way people can purchase from us. So that’s just kind of screwing you over if you don’t have that but again, we’re gonna set up SSL certificates later on in this course. So now, we’re talking about next section, checkout endpoints and account endpoints. So they set these up.

So let’s say if you if you wanted to if you wanted to integrate something to where, let’s say, someone purchases a product or someone purchases a product, like what you can do is is you can send them to say that you can put in basically some extra code like this is right here, right? Like these like section and web hooks, right? Like you can add some stuff there. And basically when a certain action happens, it sends information to another application. So that could be for like if you wanted to set up your own emailing marketing solutions. If they purchase something, and you had an app like say if you were a software as a service company, and you saw they purchase something through your WooCommerce store. You could send a web hook which is basically just a kind of a confirmation to your app that says, hey, this person just signed up and pay purchase for this app. Now let them in set up their account. So again, high level stuff, but don’t worry about that. If you run into any anything where you need some web books or some work done, feel free to reach out to us. We’re more than happy to help legacy API. That is, if you want it to fall back to the old API stuff, like again, high level stuff, don’t worry about it. woocommerce.com allow usage of WooCommerce to be tracked. That’s up to you I do not like doing that display suggestions within WooCommerce leave this box on ticked if you do not want to see suggested extensions. I do not want to see marketplace suggestions in my opinion. Like you might want to because you might want to know since you’re new to WooCommerce, you might want to say Oh, I didn’t know that plugin was available to me. But again, if you do set that up and you look, make sure that you go to your world precedent or your new Boonah subscriptions.

That’s more of an advanced thing if you are selling in multiple different ways besides just WooCommerce um, you can set that up there but maybe not everyone’s right there yet. So I’m not I’m that’s a whole nother thing, but we’ll go over that later. And then highperformance order, enable the high performance order storage feature, I don’t really think that is necessary. And plus two is this is experimental features. So I don’t really want to integrate anything that hasn’t been you know, tried and true. So that is the wrap up of the generic or another generic with the default WooCommerce settings. Alright, so we’re going to wrap up this section of the WooCommerce course. And what we’re going to do is is we’re going to, we’re going to set up just cash on delivery, and we’re just going to go through and make a few orders. on our site so that way we can see the orders in place and we can see the customers And also too as we can start looking into analytics a little bit as well. Alright, so I’ll see you guys in the next lessons.
