5. Ninja Forms

Video Summary

All right everyone, I’m gonna show you how to set up ninja forms. It is a free drag and drop form builder for WordPress and it gives you a lot of functionality out the box for free and if you wanted some additional functionality and you have your world precedent or your nobuna like memberships, you’ll be able to get those for free. So I’m gonna start off by showing you the free versions. And I’ll show you a couple of the paid versions afterwards in case you want to set some extra functionality.

And let’s just add also to is that you get a lot of different options of what you want to put put in now. Everything that is in this dark gray slot slash black area you can use the file uploading the Save Our add on features. If you need to say if you wanted a form for a for someone who was trying to get a job or you’re you know trying to submit their resume or cover letter, you know, File Upload might be good. If you have a really lengthy questionnaire for your onboarding process, and you want to use these contact forms, maybe saving their progress so flame they leave the page and they come back. Their progress will be saved.

But you’re able to do kind of a single chatbox date and time checkbox list. Select an image multi select radio list, a drop down select Submit button paragraph texts, single line text. So these are all those different data types that you can play around with to figure out what exactly you want to collect as your info from your customers. Now more times than not you can use single line text and paragraph and you’ll be able to get all the information that you need. But once in a while maybe you’re a booking company and you want to know what dates and times you’re trying to have someone sign up for and you want that information. Maybe you got a checkbox list checkbox, where maybe you you offer multiple different services and you want to know which ones they’re interested in and don’t want to give them you know, an either or the kind of same thing with the multi select radio list is basically like it’s either or so you know that’d be like good for like sizes. Say you’re a pizza company. And you want to say you know you go we got small, medium, large extra large, you can’t have both because it’s only one pizza. So that’s where a late radio list would come in. And then submit button you need to have here at the bottom, but they also have kind of predefined layouts so you can have address city email first. name last name country us phones.

You also get repeatable fields a divider so a divider would just kind of those with a slide drag this slide this over, divides things up. You get some miscellaneous maybe a MailChimp at opt in so they can opt into their list, or reCAPTCHA have potentially a number. So this might be good for if you are trying to say what is your marketing budget, or what is your actual phone number that’s actually put a phone number here. You can get a star rating What do you think of this product?

So as leads or at least the fields that you get, and I pretty much you can do anything that you want to do with all of these right here. And I’ll just kind of keep going to show you kind of what’s here and we’ll actually set the form the next video but right here is like emails and actions so you can record the submission. You can get an email confirmation, you can get an email notification, and you can give them a success message. And you can pick a bunch of different ways to set things up through here. Now, you can get these these are just add ons. So maybe if you’re using a marketing automation system right here, you can use this if you’re using maybe you’re logging in or you’re setting up a login user or or kind of upgrade an account. It’s a little bit high level stuff. But mostly what you want to do is just focus on these ones for right now. And advance so you can you can figure out these additional settings right are these will come in a little bit later when we start playing around with add ons. But for right now we’re going to focus on what we get from the free version. So let’s say Display settings here. And this is the forum title. So you can choose to split a title or not clear form when it’s successfully completed. If you want to do that, or hide form was successfully completed. So basically like if you fill it out, it’ll just show you a success message. Then advanced, you get to choose. This one’s a little bit high level we get to choose what your level headings are as an h3 is above or below the element. I would just leave these stock for now.

You don’t really need to worry about calculations. Now let’s just say I liked I liked what we have. Let’s go to the form fields here. And let’s just say let’s let’s delete this because also too is like when you when you hover over these sections, you can click on them. But when you click done if you hover over the little gear box you can delete it, or you can potentially duplicate it if you need to be duplicated. So just for a quick intro, let’s click publish.

And now what we can do is you can click public link and what this says is your shortcode and shortcodes are just little pieces of information that that you use to be able to place this form in somewhere. So if we click Copy, let’s just click Done. And we’ll click publish.

Alright, so now if I exit out of here, and let’s just understand this works for Elementor or Elementor or WP bakery, it’s you can just literally use the same principles. So let’s just, let’s just click on let’s click edit with Elementor right here, just go to the About page for now. Because this is basically just show you like how you can set it up. So what I’m gonna do is I’m just gonna into, I’m gonna go let’s just pull in the text editor right here and just use the text editor or the Text Block. If your WP bakery, they work the same. And we’ll just plug this in right here.
