Video Summary

Alright guys so in this lesson we are going to cover how we’re going to set up our backdrop here our background image. And first we had to find images want to work for us. So to save time on these videos, I went and found a photo and lucky for us, this was the photo that I chose this photo right here I think works very well because the kind of the main point of the photo is to the right, and if we come back over here, we’re going to want to have the dominant part of the background over here and then we can set up our our kind of like darker or darker section over here so we can make our tax pot. So I’ve already downloaded and download the photo and have it set up in photo escape x. And now what we’re going to do is run a play with darkening this and cropping it and making it work. So usually what I what I like to do first is I always try to replicate the the size of the photo that’s being used in the theme, just because it saves a lot of headache and distress later. Because if we match the same scale, it will fit perfectly in here and not make it larger or shorter than it needs to be. So how do we set that up? Well, first, I always go to the row. And luckily for us that WP bakery they do show you kind of the image right here. It’s very dark you can’t see it, but at least I know that there is a background image or color for the section. So now if I click on this row, edit this row, I can go to design options. And instead of clicking x I can just click plus. 

And you might want to even darken this up a little bit. So I think if we come back here let’s see if the hard part is is that when you’re playing with opacity or trying to darken up if you’re using any color besides just a steady black or gray this this tends to not really work out for us. So let’s just try if we just use just the regular back black background and and this is this is kind of the key is playing between super dark and not so dark, because you want to as dark as you can or as late as you can be, so you can still see the image very clearly. We also still want to dark so you can so you can see the tax right especially the white tax. So I’m going to try and let’s just try 62 I think that looks pretty awesome. So let’s click Save. I’m gonna click save as, and instead of one I’m gonna put two
