2. Siteground Optimizer – Environment

Video Summary

Alright guys, so we’re talking about the SiteGround optimizer environment section. Now, there’s not a ton that we really need to set up for our performance in a way, but I just don’t want to cover this. So I would recommend if you’re in the environmental settings, and set up the HTTPS and forests, which if you remember is the SSL certificate. We already have it up here, but if you if you click on here, it says like and for this to work, you have to be logged out. So I’m not going to do this for this example.

On the you could turn this on to have a dynamically rewrite and fix those. But I don’t really think that’s fully necessary. Because also TOS you don’t want it to be like rewriting content. Always miserable, nervous, just because if something gets rougher, roll over and it’s incorrect. You know, sometimes maybe your site will break and that’s not really a great deal. So I just kind of leave that there. Now. Here’s what I do want to explain a little bit is the WordPress heartbeat optimization. So basically, what the WordPress heartbeat API is that checks your posts and your posts, edit pages every 15 seconds and your dashboard and your front end every 60 seconds. So basically what it is, is that it’s just checking to see if you’ve edited anything or potentially say you have a dynamic website right? Say let’s say you have maybe it’s like a forum or a chat channel or even like kind of a social media component to it.

Just because they do have a good point is that it does take up and generate a lot of high CPU usage. So you’re using a for the most part unless you have paid for the super upgraded versions of SiteGround.

You’re you’re on a shared network. So they’re just trying to optimize it to make sure that everyone’s getting the most out of their servers. So it’s kind of just a standard practice for most hosting companies to just try to optimize it for you. So I would just leave this as it is, but if you do need that increase, you can go to 5015 seconds.

It says we will clean up your database once a week and keep it small optimized, if you choose which optimizations will be formed. I mean, you’re you guys are database experts. So I would kind of just leave that alone, and I wouldn’t have to I wouldn’t really worry about it too much. So with that being said, I think we can pause or stop this video here and hop into the front end of the optimization. So see you guys know that video
