Video Summary

Alright everyone, this is exciting. We are wrapping up the CSS three course. And my goal with this course was to cover the most important and commonly used stylings that we will encounter when we start developing our WordPress site. I know I’ve covered a lot of material but I couldn’t show you everything that CSS has to offer. There’s just so it’s a such a robust styling tool, and a lot of it we will never really encounter or use. And I’ve been a WordPress developer five years now, and I’ve tried to show you all the ones that I use on a regular basis. But don’t get me wrong. Occasionally I will run into a CSS property I haven’t dealt before or haven’t dealt with in a very long time. Or maybe the valid there’s a new value that a WordPress developer was utilizing. I haven’t really used that quite yet. And that’s okay, I have this and you’re going to run into that as well. And especially when you’re starting off and you’re learning to code and I’m still learning new things after five years, right? You’re you know, there might be things that you find that you could even teach me. So at the end of the day, what I’m gonna show you is is this amazing tool is because there’s a website and a company that created a basically, it’s a reference guide, and it’s cataloged all of the HTML and CSS code, and you’re going to be able to go and reference this whenever you want. And I will be honest, I have used this. 

I’ve used this site pretty much all the time. I mean, if I’m building a website, odds are there’s about two or three times if not more than I go to this website to reference it. And what I want you to know is is that learning learning to code isn’t about memorizing every single line of code. It’s about learning the principles the syntax and a logic behind what we’re doing. I still like I said, I still reference these W three schools from time to time and it is a huge help. Because once in a while you’re gonna get stuck and you’re going to wonder, you know, is my did I have a Do I have a typo somewhere you know, how do you know what are the property values and what can I use? We know what’s this value. This wasn’t on the course. This is basically the tool that you’re going to be able to use to be able to reference all of the important properties, the elements, HTML tags, and everything that you’re going to need. Now this site doesn’t have any video tutorials. So that’s why I wanted to take the time and go over these and explain them. Because I remember when I first started coding, that’s how I learned when if I was to send you to this web three schools when we first started off and kind of threw you out, threw you on the mix and you know, hopefully, you know to give you a sink or swim situation. Most people would sink I did when I first started coding I couldn’t it was just too overwhelming looking at everything. But I believe now that once you’ve gone through this course, the HTML, the CSS three, you’re going to be able to get a lot more understanding and be able to go in here and get a lot more benefit from it. So with that being said, I want to take some time and really break down this website so you can utilize this, this amazing tool and we’re going to be able to you’re gonna be using this throughout the rest of the course.
