Video Summary
Alright, so one of the first things we really want to go over because this is going to, this is gonna be one of the main things you’re going to use to manipulate these WordPress themes to make one website. Look what look and be branded as your company’s logo, your color schemes, everything that you need. Now, CSS and HTML do have a standard maybe like 20 or 30 Different colors that you can use. Let’s just say if you you know, in the previous example, we did you know, the paragraph color red, you know, there’s black, there’s white, there’s green, there’s gray, yellow, they have a bunch of standardized colors that you can use, but I’d say nine times out of 100, you’re going to want to use more specific colors and this is how we’re going to be able to do this. So we if you if you’re doing this for a company organization, odds are you went to a graphic designer, and you asked them to build you a logo, and they picked a color scheme that’s super specific to make sure that your logo looks the way that you want it to. Now, this is how we’re going to be able to target those same exact colors and be able to replicate them over and over again throughout the styling of your website to make sure that everything’s uniform.
Otherwise, what will happen is if you start to choose, if you try to get the color as close as you think you can, if you’re using one of those color palettes and you’re kind of dragging your mouse over. You might get close a few times, but we want to make sure that our colors are the same exact color with every time we’re styling. So that’s what that’s what makes it look professional. And that’s what’s going to make your website very uniform. So there’s there’s three basic, basic color values that we use, and for personally for me I use hexadecimal the most just because we’re going to show you this really cool tool. It’s free, it’s online, I use it all the time. I can get it basically target all these individual colors, and it’s just easier to replicate out and also to is if you think about it, yet when you use the hexadecimal you have to use a hashtag symbol. But after that it’s just sick as a six digit code that represents this color right here. Right versus of the RGB, which is basically like Roy or red, green, blue, and they have variations. I think it’s like one two, or zero to 250. And basically whatever, you know, whatever numbers you have here represent this color.
So what I’m showing you here is, is that this is essentially the same exact color but represented in two different color values. So the hexadecimal color value is just the BS zero a 96. And the RGB is just RGB with the parentheses. Once you know 176 comma 169 comma 214. They both do the same thing, but if I’m using it, I’d rather just use the shorter value instead of having to type or copy and paste this over. It’s just easier to work with hexadecimals. But the RGB comes into play when you want to do when you want to do a transparent color. So this is what the RGB A is, is basically the A is the opacity or the strength of the color, a color measure and basically, you can do this from point 01 to one so point 01 You can barely see it. One is just the color and float. And if you come down here and you look I have a blue, a random blue color just for the example. But this color right here is the same for each of these circles. So you so as you can see this circle is covering not only this blue circle, but this other one as well. So when you when this this circle is overlapped on top of the same exact one, it darkens. If that same overlap is in front of this blue circle, you have a little bit darker here, a little bit lighter here, a little bit lighter here. So you’re gonna run into where you’re gonna want to maybe change the color just a little bit.
For instance, maybe you want to have a sentence in your paragraph that’s clickable, and you have you have an a different color. But let’s say maybe you hovered over that color you know, being able just to say here, I want to have the strength cut in half. So it gives it a visual effect so the user could think Alright, that is that should probably be a clickable link. You will run into a lot of these things and I want to make sure that you understand the opacity version of these colors because this is how you’re going to be able to manipulate certain things and really get a lot of additional benefits out of it. Now, I want to go over this but I’m gonna do a whole tutorial on this. I’m gonna stop this video after this slide. because the the coolers.ko is such a very powerful website. and even if you even if you don’t have a logo or have a color scheme for your website or business, this is like the best way to start. This is how you’re going to be able to easily find what colors look good together you can save color patterns, all this cool stuff. So with that being said I’m gonna end this video or hop right over to this website and we’re gonna start really understanding the significance of these different color values.
