Video Summary
All right, in this lesson we’re gonna talk about tax indentations. When we’re setting up paragraphs through HTML and CSS, D, the default is that we don’t have any tax in dents because most times when we’re talking about websites, you don’t really need a tax in debt most of the time. You just wanted to set up and have it just, you know, be full right to left very much like this paragraph right here. But when you’re starting to talk about blog articles, and maybe you want to have an ebook, or be able to have someone to access some content on your website and you want to have more of a, you know, a, like a, like a more like the regular textbook type of fuel, you can use text indentations. So let’s hop over and just show you what I mean.
Alright, so now we were able to now it looks more of like a regular paragraph we’re not you know, if it looks like if we use the tab button right here on a Word docs, right. And you can play around with this again, like and this will all change to depend on the font size, so maybe we’ll do 20 I’m talking about the way it looks. Now. The indentation will be always 50 pixels right here, but depending on your font size, the indentation, the fit, the indentation for the four or 40 pixels looked a lot better than the 20 pixels. So maybe we want to drop this down and maybe have this be a 30 and that the text isn’t big enough or isn’t long enough to reach. So let’s let’s try. What if it’s 60 pixels.
All right, so now we have a 30% annotation, we might want that to go back up to 50. And these are just things that you were going to be playing with as WordPress developers. So not there’s no defined set of rules on that you need to have this indentation for this text. It really just depends on how you’re how it’s looking on the website how big that paragraph is how wide the paragraph is the thing that the whole doesn’t take on the whole real estate of the screen, as it just a little maybe it’s a third of the screen. Those different things will come into play. And it’s really all about what you think looks good and the more visual appeal of it. But at the end of the day, this is how you can make your paragraphs look like more like a textbook and give that little bit of indentation or that tab right there. Alright, we’ll stop on the next section to learn more about text and how we can transform our text.
