Video Summary
All right, in this section, we’re talking about the short-handed versions of the border, proper border properties and values, and being able to do side isolations. So in the previous example, we had to say border. We’re going to do border style, and we had to claim that it was a solid. We had to do border width which we claim that was one or one to five pixels, and we had to do border color which we claim which was blue. But instead of having to write out three lines of code, what most WordPress developers use, is just we call the shorthand version where if you just put in border you put in the colon here, and you put in your two pixels, solid blue, it will create that border for you. So it’s just being able to be more efficient, more effective when you’re typing out this code. And when you’re going in, a lot of WordPress developers have a setup so I want to cover this so you’re understanding this also, too, as we were talking about side isolations. So maybe you want to have a border on just the left side is the top just the bottom, just you know, the right? It doesn’t matter. You can change you can have different stylings for each side of the border. So that being said, once you understand how to use an isolate border, Let’s go into code pen and let’s figure out how we can use the shorthand version and how we can isolate different sides of the border.
