Video Summary
Alright guys, in this video I’m gonna show you how you can add new plugins from your dashboard. So what I want you to do is I want you to come down here and click Add.
Alright, so right here is where it’s the dashboard where you can search and find a bunch of really amazing plugins that you can use for your website. Now, I will say when you go through this finder right here, some plugins you’ll be able to use for free. Some of them have a freemium model, so they allow you to access their plugin to either tested play around with and make sure it’s going to work for you, or gets you hooked to where you will have to pay a either a monthly yearly or a one time fee to access all of its features. So be aware of this. I’m going to show you how you can actually access a lot of these freemium and paid plugins for free. But I want to show you these kind of the core the core functionality of how plugins are available for us right if we’re in for working on a certain point of our website, and we’re like, you know what, I bet there’s a plugin for this, you know, let me look. I always like to start here, just to see if there’s something free and easy to use that I can plug in. Or if or if I’m gonna have to go and go somewhere else. So one of the easiest ones that I always like to use and this is kind of the first intro into the first plot. One of the best plugins that I use on every single website is if I go and type in duplicate pages it will automatically update for the updated format and it will give me a bunch of different options here. Now the first one is the one that I use the most. A lot of these plugins have the same functionality, and you can play around with which ones you’d like to use. But this duplicate page has been the most useful one for me, because it’s worked for every single thing I’ve used it will be able to duplicate it. So what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna come here I’m gonna click install
And what I love about this plugin is that if we’re utilizing our demo themes, right, there might be a page that we want to edit, but we want to have the original so what we can do now is say if it was home five, let’s just view home five right? And we’re this is the home or this is the homepage right? And maybe this this is kind of a crappy one. But the idea is that maybe we just want to keep the original in case we mess something up. Now what we can do is we can click on duplicate this and what we’ll do is is now if we come back down and set this up into a draft, to where now if we clicked on edit with Elementor what we can call this now is if we come here to the home five now we can say home, we’ll call it slash home.
And now like a bunch of countdown timer plugins will come up now I’m gonna get into how you test for these later. But I just while we’re in here, I just want to show you the kinds of functionality you can just type in anything you want for the search. You can also do by author or tag keyword works the best tag and tag and author really doesn’t matter. Maybe if you’re looking for a plugin by certain company, you know, you forgot what the actual name was for you that might be helpful but other than that keyword is just typing what you’re thinking or what you’re trying to use, and figure that out. Also to see if you can do feature, you can do, popular, you can do recommend it.
And there’s favorites. you can kind of search around with flows, But more times than not just type in what you’re trying to accomplish and just play around with these plugins. So I’m gonna stop the video right here, and we’re gonna move on to another way to find plugins, so I’ll see you there.
