Video Summary
In this section, if you decided that you wanted to download the Visual Studio code and follow along, I’m going to show you how we’re going to set up these individual HTML documents.
Once you’re in Visual Studio code, and if you see that you have anything right here, just exit those out and start where we’re at this page. That way nothing’s cluttered and you get a full understanding of what we’re looking at. Once you’re here, what we’re going to do is hit Ctrl or Command and basically what that does is opening up a new document.
What we’re wanting to do from there is hit Ctrl or Command Save As for save. And I’m going to set up a coding demo example folder. You’re going to want to remember where you saved this document. I’m just going to call this home, but make sure whatever you do call it that you have dot HTML, right? It’s kind of like if you have a photo and you save it as a dot, you know, jpg, or dot png, just kind of same idea. We want to designate this as an HTML document.
And when you see this down here that says HTML 5 dash boilerplate, right click here, and automatically loads this then. So that’s how we’re gonna get started with building the HTML for Visual Studio code.
In the next video, I’m going to go into what the things on the boilerplate are and in more detail.
