Video Summary

Alright, we’re gonna go over formatting elements, and we’re gonna talk about bolding and italicizing different words and sentences and paragraphs. So if you want to bold something, we just use a strong tag around the sentence or words that you want to bold. You want to emphasize. And if you want to italicized we’re going to use the eye tag and that will attach or italicize or make every sentence or word or paragraph. taller. So let’s hop over to code pen. And we still got our same paragraph sentence but let’s say we want to bold the first sentence. So if we come over here, to put in strong, then we come behind here and put our end tag and we come down here. Now this whole sentence is bolded. Now if we do that, let’s say we want to italicized the last sentence, we will put our eye tag here and we will wrap that our finishing tag and now that sentence is a count size is pretty straightforward. But I will say when we get into WordPress, there is text editors that allows you to type up sentences and paragraphs just like you would in a Word document.

But once in a while you I mean, while you’re in there, you’re going to be able to bold and italicize different words and sentences. And these are the tags that they’re going to give you. But let’s say if I wanted to change just the size or the color of the bolded sentence right here, we could come in here and set up a class or an ID. And we will change that. So that’s why I wanted to least go over that when we start getting the CSS stylings. We might want to make this sounds a little bit bigger. And we want to focus on certain elements. Knowing how to bold and italicize and identifying those can be a real big help. So with that being said, let’s go to the next lesson.
