Video Summary

Alright, so we’ve just installed our Molins WordPress theme and what we want to do is we have this little call to action this notification. It says this theme requires the following plugins and it needs an update to the WooCommerce which is okay so what we’re gonna want to do is we can click on begin installing plugins, or a new option or appeared in appearance and you can click Install Plugins there, it doesn’t matter they both go to the same section. So we’re going to click here. And now what we see is installed required plugins. So we can do this all at once and what we do is we come over here and click on this, the top one right next to plug in and it highlights all of these. And what we do is you come over here and we click install, and then we hit Apply. And depending on which theme you’re using, this could take anywhere from maybe 20 seconds to a minute, more times than not, it’s pretty quick and Alright, so while I was explaining that we go through and we have all green, which is signup success that all of these have installed successfully, so you can click here on return to require plugin installer or click Install Plugins. 

And we these are all installed, but we need to activate them so all we have to do is click on the plugins thing again, do our bulk actions, click on Activate, click Apply. 

And basically what that does is it starts we’ve downloaded the plugins onto our site files, and now we’re activating them, which means we’re kind of injecting them into our actual web site files and that way they all this functionality is going to appear and be useful for us. So here is a trick that has happened a few times where if you click on the link, let me just duplicate this just to show you because I still do this from time to time and think about it and we want to click refresh. And it says you’re not allowed access to this page. And what does that mean? So we’re just gonna go back and click back, double back. And what we want to do is, is basically what’s happening with with when we click when we hit that refresh button, is that when we’ve downloaded the all the plugins, we had or we done reactivated the theme, we had the install, which is gone. So basically, if you refresh it, we’re on a page that no longer exists because we don’t need that page anymore because we have all these plugins. So once we get back to if you don’t, if you clicked on the Refresh button, just click back and so you get here and now once we’re here if we click Refresh once you go to a different spot spot in the dashboard of this admin right now all of these new items appeared right we have MailChimp for WordPress we have the slider revolution. We have Elementor and templates, we have contact pages or pages was there but events portfolios more modes template, right. So now we have all of these things that we need to use to build our theme. but let’s just go back and refresh and see if anything happened to our site. Nope. That means that even though we have all these plugins ready to go, We still need to be able to import the demo data. So that’s what we’re going to do in the next lesson.
