Video Summary
In this lesson, we’re going to set up our menu items, or we’re going to set them up as anchor links, meaning that if we click on a certain section, we’re going to just scroll right down to that section. Alright, so what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna go back over here to menus and we’re going to delete all of these first because we do not need to use any of these.
I will use these all lowercase, because if you remember from the CSS, HTML lessons that if you keep everything lowercase, then you don’t have when you’re calling to a letter you don’t have to worry about as what was capitalized what wasn’t. Now you can capitalize, but you have to remember you have to keep the capitalization and it’s in like, so if like, if H was capitalized, we’d have to call it to as a capital.
And what I’m going to do is I’m going to put this pulled down and put this into another tab have its own window of its own so I can bounce back and forth. What I’m gonna do here is I’m gonna go down I’m gonna click on custom link, and I’m going to type in.
Just make sure you have no typos. And what we’re gonna do is I’m gonna capitalize this, add it to my now, to keep this video low or short. What I’m going to do is I’m going to come down here and I’m going to click on here to find that we have contact copy. This and I’m going to paste this in. But since we already have this here, I’m just gonna steal this URL from the section. Place it over here, instead of home.
Right, and we made it the new menu, but we’re gonna have to do is we have to go back to our go back to our website header template, and we’re have to go and manually change this menu to our new one for us to double check and see if everything’s working as it should. So I’m gonna stop this video here and we’re gonna go in the next video hop into our header editor and change this menu and start testing to see if our anchor links and or menu items are working which. So I’ll see you the next lesson.
