Video Summary
Alright, so we’re going to cover how we’re going to set up our menu options. And we’re going to come over here brand go to dashboard. And if we scroll down and go to appearance, we have many on here. If you have a landing page, you’re gonna have basically one, one menu item, but when you have maybe a large robust site or even a ecommerce site, there’s a good chance that you’re gonna have multiple different menus. Throughout the whole website. You might want to have different menus in your footer, you’re gonna have a main menu as your nav, you might want to have a different menu for your mobile menu. You might have a product category menu, right? So this is we’re going to be able to find all your different menus. You can always create a new one here, which we will do but with the main menu is what we are looking at, and that is all of these pages that we were given right here.
So a lot more times than not when I’m building a website for your WordPress site, is I usually create a new menu and I will leave this main menu here. I don’t want to delete or change it because this can be pretty convenient while you’re building your site. You know, we just went through and we built the homepage and we’re starting off as landing page. But I’m gonna show you how you can turn the same principles we did with this landing page into multiple different pages and how you can connect those. We’ll do that later in this course but for right now, I want to leave these because I might want to go and look and see how a certain page this is, say the about page is set up, you know, and be able to pull off different sections from here and be able to use it and go and reference it. So leaving this makes it easy for me instead of having to go all the way back into the pages. Right if I wasn’t able to do that then I have to go and find about which is nice for it’s this is the top page but there’s also you know a ton of different pages on here and I want to go through and copy that every time I’d rather just be able to go go to pages, click on the about page and then click on edit with Elementor and get right to where I need to go. So with that being said, let’s just create a new menu for right now.
