Video Summary

In the last section we finished up the frequently asked questions. Now we’re going to handle the testimonial page or the page for the section. And I really like how they do the call out right here for for like the actual quote, you get some stars. You get these little parentheses up there that let you know that this is a direct quote. And you have a picture and kind of a title, if you will, and the name. Now I think this original section, the developers wanted to have it to be kind of a twofer in the sense of that you could use this as a testimonial review section, or you could use this as a call out for potentially, you know, you know, pulling quotes from team members or the owner of the business. 

So we’re gonna get into that here in a second but, and i The titles are okay, I mean, I’d rather sell about the company, I rather have testimonials and then put what they’re talking about. Or like, I really have to say something like, lists or what people are saying about us or something like now I think that sounds a little bit better. But what I don’t really like is these little graphics of these people, right? Like, this is a stock theme for us. So we don’t know any of these people. And if I was going to actually put people in the background here, I did want them to work at the company that the ones that we’re building, or have them be customers or strategic partners in some way, right? They have to be related. So we want to take that out. And I want to see and potentially see what this looks like with just a white background and not this little section right here. So what we’re going to do is if we’re talking about backgrounds for a section because if we move, right and we’re hovering, we don’t see those, we don’t see the spacers. So we know this whole section and if we’re over here, it’s highlighted in the baby blue, right? So this background has to be within edited within the section. So we’re going to come over here to style and we see this kind of like blueprint thing. Let’s just Let’s exit this, remove this and see if that does anything. Well, that took away the little blueprint, but we still see these weird people. So I want to leave let’s click Ctrl or Command G and put this back. And let’s try let’s try to get these weird people ask for the background. And you know, if it’s not in background, where do you think it would be? 

Is in background overlay? Right. So if we come here and we click on a little trash can we’ve just removed those sections. And I do want to say too, is is that if you were if you’re going through a web page or web section, and you really like everything that’s going on right here, but you don’t like what the background is doing. You can always come down here, we can create another section, right? We can just come here, split it in two. And you could essentially just drag and drop each section into a new one. Right so let’s do that real quick. Let’s drop this down.

And basically what you got what you got to do is for differences off if you if you’re building a site out for yourself, we just need to go in and find the names and the actual poll quotes that you want to use for this slider. I’m gonna leave this as is because I’ve already showed you how to set up multiple photos, how to make them work. You can pretty much choose your photo from here and set everything up. You could have the image size full you can play with that I just leave the settings as they are. And then also tools you have carousel options so you can show how many want you can have the slide you can have different effects are they looping, what speed are they going to play? So these are all different things. I’m not gonna go through each one just because I take a lot of time. And but I think a lot of these are pretty straightforward. And you know, I would I would encourage you to go through and play with all these different sections. See what they do you know, because like all you all you have to do really is just come to a section, duplicate it, and then just experiment on it right. You know, see what different features are going to do with your element, you know, they’re going to add some animations. They’re going to make the text look bigger. Are we going to have a cool set? So these are all things you can I’ll let you go go through and play with but I think with that being said, and I’m looking at the section, I think it’s good enough for us for right now. So there’s a demo. I think we can roll on to the last section of this landing page, which was pretty exciting that we’re almost there almost built our first page for this course and know onwards and upwards from here.
