Video Summary

All right everyone, we are going to start building our first WordPress theme website. So we’re going to start with the Elementor page builder and this is what this theme is built off of. And I want to show you just the live preview so I’m gonna have this link below this video so you can go in here and access this and download it. If you want to follow along and basically I have to do is click download and make a new project and basically download it and you get the license for it. Now, what I want you to do is let’s click on Live Preview and more times than not when you’re in elements and you go to a live preview it brings you to a page where it shows you the different demos that you can look at. So if we’re looking at here, we’re seeing four different basically home pages and different styles that we can use. Alright, so really, it doesn’t matter which one we choose Amish, I click the first one, and we land on the homepage. And the reason why I picked this theme to start us off on is because it gives us a lot of really cool tools, a lot of pages we can mix and match content with and I really liked this the layout of each page presents like this header I like like having the top bar right here and having quick calls to action. So for instance, if you have a customer that has been going to all time but they forgot your phone number or they needed an address real quick they can go and find all the information you need right at the top you have a call to action get a quote. If you’re selling something online, they have a nice little mini Cart icon right here. So anywhere they’re on the site, they can come up here and click on that and go right to their cart for purchasing. And also to is I really liked how this whole website was just structured off. I understand that we are looking at an insurance like theme, but we’re not going to build this theme into insurance. And the reason why I want to do this is because I want to show you guys that. 

I’m picking the theme of how every function and the all the extra potential pages and functionality that it has, like for instance, like having a shopping page as an event page. Not every theme has both. So being able to get a theme that not only resonates with you and as a good layout but has every you know everything that you could possibly need with a website, or at least as close as you can be right we’re going to add we’re going to later on we’re going to build themes, or build websites that from themes that I’m going to add different event calendars, we’re going to add different booking plugins, we’re going to add a whole bunch of crazy stuff. But when you’re starting from scratch, if we can get as much as we can from the theme, we might as well do it right. And especially we’re talking about building each page and then section. So let’s just kind of quickly scroll through and I just liked how each section was set up. I thought this was a pretty, pretty awesome just structured of each of the website or each section of the website. They had a nice little slider of testimonials. They have like put in different partners or different photos and have a little slider here. I liked how when they’re getting a quote, you can split it up in between different services. 

I liked how these different kind of call outs these counters. So basically when someone logs in and just counts all the way up to so it’d be like zero to 36,000 insurance claims, right? 90 Plus professional employees. You could have your kind of a portfolio section if you want. Kind of a nice little call out. There’s a lot of stuff where we can put in a lot of nice content and the colors the way they have set up is great. But again, if you’re looking at this this theme and you’re thinking man, I would love to use this but the color scheme is not what I’m looking for in for my that’s not like my brand and my logo after yours. Well that’s fine because more times than not we’re going to change all these colors. And we’re going to we’re going to basically brand this website into something completely different than insurance. And also to is that we have different options when we’re talking about the different home pages right? So we can have different headers you know, we could have this be our main header if we want it. We’re still giving Nice call outs we have our logo stand alone and you know, flow. We can change the search to the mini car icon. When we scroll down and we have a lot of really great sections to choose. And what makes this work is that we can just pick and choose what we want. And we’re going to add the content for the specific business that we’re building this for. So it doesn’t matter that these pictures and these tacks are really what we might want. but we’re going to be able to change all those. So with that being said I could go through all this but we’re really going to get into the nuts and bolts of this when we actually start building or you know, installing this theme and getting the whole demo site up and then starting to build from there. So we’re gonna hop in the next section, and we’re going to install this on our first demo website and pretty excited guys talk, we’ll see in the next section.
